Explore

What did you explore this week? I was fortunate enough to get out of the city this week for about 24 hours to explore a bit of the countryside! What a wonderful getaway. We stayed at a wonderful little place run by a group of families in the middle of green carpeted foothills. We had a wonderful time! We hiked the beautiful hills, finding herds of sheep, cows and horses along the way. We ate fresh food (from farm to table…yum!) while sitting outside on the grass, with cool breezes blowing. We had great conversations with the friends we went with, and lots of laughs too! :) It was just what the heart and soul needed after two + months of quarantine.

Here are some of the photos from my explorations…

Keep on Exploring!

And with that, I think it is time to wrap up our photo challenge. Quarantine seems to be over, or nearly so, in most places (at least for now!). We are able to get out and about again. It is time to move on to new things.

I want to thank all of you for being a part of this challenge, in whatever way you chose to do so.     Thank you to those of you who faithfully posted photos throughout! It was so fun to see what you were creating along with me. Thank you to those of you who posted as you were able. I was so glad to see what you posted! And thank you to those of you who didn’t post photos, but who followed along, and maybe thought through the challenges, or just enjoyed reading along. I have heard from some of you and I am so glad that you were touched, moved, and/or inspired along the way.

If you are one of those who followed along (in any capacity), would you mind posting below how you were impacted by the challenge, or what you got out of it? I would love to hear! It is super encouraging for me. And if you would rather message me privately, that is great too.

And so…I want to encourage you to keep exploring! Keep using your camera to explore the world and to explore your thoughts and emotions. It is a powerful tool!

If you want to keep following along on my blog, please go to my website and sign up for updates, as I won’t be posting them here anymore. www.deepsoulphotography.com/blog/. I am excited about what is ahead! I am moving into new work that I am really excited about, that is in exactly the direction I have been wanting to go for awhile now. I feel like my goals have been clarified even over this time of quarantine, and I know where I want to be headed. I really want to use my photography to fight injustice and to highlight and assist those doing work that is making a positive impact in the world, and so I am excited to begin doing just that.

Thank you all again for following along with me during this time of quarantine. This challenge has been so helpful to me during this time, and I hope it has been helpful to you too! And who knows…maybe if we all end up back in quarantine again, we’ll do a round two! :)

Take care!
